The Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET) in collaboration with other networks and groups is holding a gathering in solidarity with the Latin American & Asia Pacific struggles and resistances, which include Australian social movements who continue to battle tirelessly to reach justice and dignity for all those that suffer under and resist against neoliberalism.
The Third Latin American & Asia Pacific Solidarity Gathering will take place next October 23, 24, 25 at Victoria Trades Hall, corner of Victoria & Lygon Streets, Carlton South, Melbourne – Australia
Two prominent leaders from Colombia and Chile will attend this important gathering:
Dubán Veléz, Colombia trade union representative from Sinaltrainal: National Union of Food Industry, and member of CUT-Antioquia in Colombia),
Pascual Pichun a Mapuche authority elder from Mapuche Indigenous people in Chile-Argentina

Australian grassroots solidarity activists will be joined by activists and organisers from Latin America & Asia Pacific region to plan, evaluate and celebrate the growing of Latin America and Asia Pacific solidarity movement in Australia.
At this gathering will be international activists from the social movements from Colombia a representative from the Union movement (Sinaltrainal: National Union of Food Industry, member of CUT-Colombia), Chile a Mapuche Indigenous authority, A Chilean Film maker, From Bolivia, Bounganville, West Papua. And to be confirmed from Japan, New Zealand, Peruvian Amazon indigenous representative and a member of the resistance front from Honduras.
