Our Mission

Latin America Solidarity Network (LASNET)
In Australia, LASNET aims to raise awareness of the struggles and resistances of Latin American grass-root organisations, "from the bottom up and to the left", and works to support these initiatives through local and national activism. We also aim to use the Latin American example as a way of providing hope to those of us struggling in Australia against greed and increasing authoritarianism. Building solidarity with peoples in Struggle in Latin America, Australia & Asia Pacific. We believe in a society without patriarchy, authoritarianism and violence...and without neo-liberal capitalism.

Solidarity Garage Sale & Cultural Day/Night

Saturday March 3, 11am – 11pm
Northcote Uniting Church, 251 High St. Northcote

In support of Latin American Struggles

Garage sale from 11am in the church hall. Cultural performances from 2pm in the courtyard.

Come and join us in a day of live music, dance and poetry. Latin American docos screening from 7pm and information tables from different groups. Food and drinks available.

Garage sale: clothes, books, furniture, bric-a-brac, computers, etc.

all proceeds to support travel cost of CONFECH representative in a speaking tour in Australia from April 2012
